James Harrod was born on January 9th, 1951 in Yates Center, Kansas. He passed away on October10, 2025 in his sleep with his loving family around at his home in Wichita, Kansas.

Jim was a good person and a great father. He spent time with the Sedgwick County Sheriff Department then worked on lanterns at Coleman until he retired.

Jim was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and wrestling fan.

He is survived by brothers Frank Harrod and Chuck Harrod; sons James Harrod Jr, Aaron Tabing; daughter Traci Reneau; and seven grandkids.

Jim is preceded in death by his father Sam Harrod; mother Wanda Reno Harrod; and brothers Robert L. Harrod and Stephen L. Harrod.

Private family inurnment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita.
