Obituary

Jenna Renee Standrich-Abarca 31 of Garden City, KS died surrounded by friends and family on Saturday October, 26 2024 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.

Jenna was born on January 15, 1993 in Wichita, KS.  She was raised in Valley Center where she lived with her grandparents until her freshmen year of high school when she moved with her mom and beloved step dad Jake to Dodge City.

After graduating in 2011 from Dodge City High School, Jenna relocated to Wichita to attend the Paul Mitchel School of Cosmetology.  She later returned to Dodge City and started her love of cutting and coloring hair, she was a true artist.

On July 17,  2016 she welcomed the love of her life, her perfect son Kassius Hinojosa. Kass was the joy of Jenna's life, and she cherished him deeply.

She married the other love of her life Osmin Abarca on August 7, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and they settled in Garden City, KS.

Jenna later worked as an assistant manager at Mendard's and had a passion for all animals, traveling, caring for plants, tattoo's, enjoying bougie cheeses, and fast cars.  She always aspired to be a tattoo artist and a barber.  She cherished her time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Osmin Abarca of Garden City, her son Kassius Hinojosa of Dodge City, father Jerod Allen of Kansas City, MO, mother Janelle Standrich and stepdad Jake Ring of Dodge City, KS, grandparents Cathy and Jerry Standrich of Wichita, Jo Allen of Andover, half brother Jake Allen of Kansas City, MO, Aunt Christy Standrich and cousin Riley Bump of Andover, KS, uncles Justin Adams, Keven Adams, Clinton Allen, Aunt Michelle Watson, best friend Veronica Gondinez of Garden City, her precious dog Athena, as well as many other friends and cousins.

Jenna's warm and kind heart, her comforting smile, and contagious laughter will be missed deeply.  She is forever in our hearts and always in our memories.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday November 2nd at the Pump House, 825 East 2nd Street Wichita, KS 67202.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Kass's college scholarship fund.  Checks can be made out to "Kassius Scholarship Fund"

The family has entrusted Affordable Cremations Plus of Wichita with her care.
