Jerid Moses Coleman, 44, died Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at his home in Newton, Kansas.

He was born on May 17, 1981 in Wichita, Kansas. Jerid was raised and attended Heights and Derby High Schools. He lived in Lamar, MO and back in Wichita, until moving to Newton four years ago.

He married the love of his life, Laura, on July 25, 2022 in Newton. He really enjoyed music and collecting Hot Wheels. Jerid had worked at Davis Liquor for 11 years, and most recently as a cashier at the Newton WalMart.

Survivors include his wife Laura; step-son Brayden Sherman; father Tommy Dee Coleman all of Newton; and his brother in law Josh Hagy of Wichita.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 6th between 11:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M., at the Park City Senior Center, 6100 N. Hydraulic Avenue, Park City, Ks. 67219. Bring your favorite stories to share about Jerid.

Laura has requested no cut flowers please. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to cover Jerid's final expenses and celebration of his life.
