The House Family is saddened to announce the passing of Jerry Dean House, Sr. on January 20, 2025, in Winfield, Kansas.

Born to Max and Earlene House on December 25, 1952 in Springfield Missouri, he was a devoted husband to Susan House and a loving father to Kimberly Franklin, Tiffany House, Jerry House Jr., and Brittany VanOs. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Christopher, Alexander and Trent Franklin, Jerry, Logan and Izzibell House and future step-granddaughter LilliAnne Rohrbough. He was a father-in-law to Trent Franklin, William VanOs, future father-in-law to Lindsey Rohrbough, and a grand father-in-law to Katie Franklin. Jerry is survived by his brother, Allen House.

He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Hana Franklin, as well as his brothers Donnie, Roger, David, and Kelly House, along with his parents.

He will be fondly remembered for his quirky fascination with clocks, his passion for Star Trek, Hot Wheels, and science fiction. Jerry had a unique love for dumpster diving and collecting items that others deemed unnecessary; no yard sale went unscavenged.

In true Jerry fashion, in place of flowers, he'd rather you check your tire pressure and give your car a little TLC-bonus points if it's a Ford!

Please note that there will be no viewing or funeral service. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held in March.
