Jerry Allen Whitson, 78, of Pratt, passed away on March 3, 2025 at his home. He was born on January 10, 1947 in Herrin, Illinois to BB Whitson and Lula Mae (Hestand) Whitson.

Jerry was a United States Navy Veteran. He worked as a maintenance technician for many years until retirement. He enjoyed tinkering with various projects. He would help anyone in need and had a smile for everyone he came across.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Whitson, brother, Delmar Whitson, and two grandsons; Joseph and Mason Whitson.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina Abbott, stepdaughter, Beverly Lazaro, son, Larry Whitson, sister, Marie Evans, brother, Donald Whitson, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
