Jimmijoan "Jody" Alexander passed away on February 21, 2025. She was born on January 8, 1943 in Hutchinson, Ks to Juanita Louise (Dot) Neve and Norvall Neal Neve. The family later relocated to Wichita, Ks.

Jody was the middle child of 3 sisters, Sally (Marvin) Trout, (deceased) and Susan (Cecil) Gardner.

Jody was the first in her class to graduate from Southeast High School where she met her high school sweetheart, James "Jim" Alexander. Jody attended North Texas State University and returned to Wichita to marry Jim Alexander on June 1, 1963 at East Heights United Methodist Church. They had one daughter, Tiffanie Alexander.

During the 1970's Jody worked as a recruiter for Wesley School of Nursing, KU Medical School, and then at Rainbows United. She retired in 2015 after 27 years working in case records. Jody enjoyed donating Pete the Cat books to the Rainbows classrooms during her time there.

Jody loved all animals, especially dogs. She and Jim opened their home to countless dogs and cats, she and Jim enjoyed taking them on walks together. They also enjoyed going sailing.

Jody will always be remembered for her bubbly personality, great sense of humor, generosity and kindness. Jody was a gentle soul who was always there for others and a cheerleader for those she loved.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Alexander, daughter, Tiffanie Alexander, younger sister, Susan (Cecil) Gardner, nephews; Chad (MaryBeth) Davidson, Seamus Davidson, Joel (Kristi) Davidson, and Gavin Cusick, nieces; Grace Davidson, Janna (Scott) Cusick, and Miranda Cusick.

Donations in remembrance of Jody may be made to Kansas Humane Society and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
