Jimmy Ray Stephens, 69, died at his home in Arkansas City, Kansas with his family at his side on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
He was born on March 31, 1955 in Arkansas City, the son of Marion Francis and Allie Mae Bridges Stephens. The family lived in Ark City for a while before moving to the Azle, Texas area.
For several years Jimmy had been a truck driver. He had lived in the Springtown, Texas area until returning to Arkansas City eight years ago to live with his sister Ola Grace Stephens, who also died on Monday March17th 2025.
He enjoyed fishing, guns, and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by two sons Jimmy Stephens and Brian Stephens; sisters Luella Shearer and Carol Mowerly all of Azle, Texas; grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, along with his niece Deborah Wilson of Arkansas City who had been his caretaker.
Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Arkansas City, Kansas.
