John Kurt Johnson, 71, passed away on April 1, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Ks. He was born on October 29, 1953 in Wichita, Ks to John Vernon Johnson and Barbara (Ennis) Jackson.

He worked at a trim carpenter and owned and operated Woodmaster's Incorporated. He enjoyed the outdoors, going hunting and fishing, and playing golf and disc golf.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Vernon Johnson, mother; Barbara Jackson, and brother, Eric Johnson.

He is survived by his sons; John Cody Johnson, and Casey Johnson (Chelsea), three step children; Roy (Sheryl) Hervey, Sarah (William) Morton, John Hervey, three sisters; Tina Cornell, Heidi Markey, and Jerree Catlin, grandchildren; Cooper Johnson, Crew Johnson, Madeline (Steven) Lambert, Brylan Hervey, Grant Hervey, Logan Lawrence, Brendon Hervey, Cassidy Lawrence, Wade Hervey, great grandchildren; Lilyian, Roselynn, and James Lambert.
