John Arthur Steele, 73, died Saturday, July 4, 2026 at his home in Wichita surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 7, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Arthur Loraine and Dorothy Ann Sifers Steele. John was a lifelong Wichitan. He dedicated more than 35 years to Boeing, where he retired.
He was a longtime member of the D-Dudes Car Club and loved taking his 55 Chevy, which he remodeled, to car shows throughout the area.
Survivors include his daughter Aleta Allison of Wichita; grandson Bentley Moore; brother Robert Steele and wife Beverly; of Tongonxie, Kansas; niece Elizabeth Martin and sister Margaret Ann Leach of Portland, Oregon; niece Melinda Anderson.
John is preceded in death by his parents; brother Larry Steele; and sister Dorothy Jean Steele.
