Obituary

Jonathan Ryan Denton was born to Jerry "Dinky" Denton and Suzanne (Cummings) Denton on December 15, 1977 in Wichita, Kansas. Jon was one of four children and was a twin. He is also Native American. He is very proud of his Lumbee tribe which he is a descendant on his mother's side. Jonathan lived his childhood in Cheney, Kansas. Jon has two sons, Nathaniel Denton, age 21, and Ashdon Denton, age 16.

He was a car enthusiast which led him to detail vehicles which was his passion. He also loved to learn new things, he liked working on different projects & DIY's. He was also doing construction on his home, which he was very proud of. He liked restoring things and bringing them back to life. He loved being outdoors & grilling. He liked to stay busy & would help anyone who asked him.

To know Jon is to love him. He had a good heart. He was known for his sense of humor, big personality & his love for making people laugh. He made the world brighter and when you were around him, he made you feel important and valued. Those closest to Jon will remember the late-night conversations, the laughter that lasted until tears came. He also had a way of making people feel accepted and understood, even during their hardest moments.

Preceding him in death are his parents, father Jerry "Dinky" Denton, mother Suzanne (Cummings) Denton, and his older sister Veronica (Denton) Pasqualichio.

He is survived by his two sons Nathaniel Denton of Wichita, Kansas, Ashdon Denton of Flagstaff, Arizona; and older brother Robert E. Denton of Texas; twin sister Jennifer R. Denton of Wichita, Kansas. His son's mother & close friend  Bobbie Slawson, his life partner Celia Lujan & considered sister Angelica Lujan. Also, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends the Lujan's.

A viewing and visitation with the family will be held at the Indian Southern Baptist Church, 1550 E. Denker, Wichita, Kansas on Friday, March 19 beginning at 6:00 P.M.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 20 at the Indian Southern Baptist Church.

Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.
