Joyce Diane Chrislip, 69, formerly of McPherson, KS, passed away on July 12, 2025 in Wichita, KS.

Joyce was born on May 11,1956, in Gordon, Nebraska, to George and Mary (Winters) Gantt. She grew up and attended school in McPherson and graduated from McPherson High School in 1974.

While living in McPherson she married Rick Chrislip in 1974. They started having a family and their son Paul, who was born in 1975. They soon had a daughter, Stacy, who was born in 1977. Not long after, they had another son, Keith, born in 1978.

Joyce was a devoted mother and grandmother, who would do anything for her family. She was multi-talented in so many things. She enjoyed cooking big meals and baking from scratch and made sure there was plenty for everyone, even friends of the family. She enjoyed listening to all types of music and going dancing. She had a passion for nature and animals, and even raised baby birds. Favorite hobbies include sewing, crocheting, quilting, and she made many blankets for family members. She loved being in nature and going for walks to enjoy it more fully.

Survivors include her husband, Rick Chrislip of the home; a son, Paul Chrislip of Wichita, KS; a daughter, Stacy (Chrislip) Unruh of McPherson KS; brothers, Bill and George Gantt, and sister, Connie Rogers, five grandchildren; Cody, Tyler, Alexis, AJ, and Drezdan, three great grandchildren; Easton, Kayden, and Raelynn; many nieces and two nephews along with other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Gantt; a son, Keith Chrislip; a grandson, Finley Chrislip; and great-nephew, Hayden Ballou.
