Obituary

Karen L. Fowler, 62, passed away on May 21, 2026 in Wichita, Ks. She was born on October 22, 1963 in Wichita to John and Teresa (Morley) Klos.

In her younger days she did many different things and lived in different places That part of her life made her a strong independent woman. In 1991 she met Patrick Fowler while he was coaching her daughter Sarah in softball and their relationship grew.

In 1992 she married Patrick Fowler. In 1994 her and Patrick moved to rural Marion County in the big farmhouse she called her Tara. She was very proud to have worked for Cessna for 15 years before retiring. Cessna had helped Karen obtain her high school diploma through their welfare to work program. She and Patrick enjoyed traveling and going on road trips together. She had a host of friends and family that she always remained very close to. She was known to many as "Mamma Karen". Karen was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers and her chickens. She loved her big house in the country. Karen was very strong in her wiccan spirituality.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sarah Winterscheidt, and sister, Carla Green.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Patrick Fowler, son, Logan Fowler, daughters; Danielle Fowler and Medea Rausch (Eric), 8 grandchildren, and brother, John Klos.

Celebration of life to be held at a later date.
