Karen Eileen Stansbery, 75, of Garden Plain, Kansas passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at the Center at Waterfront in Wichita, Kansas.

Karen was born on September 22, 1949 in Wichita, the daughter of Robert Eugene and Lola Marjorie Bannon Conner. The family later moved to
Topeka, Kansas where Karen graduated from Highland Park high school

Most of Karen's life was spent in the Wichita area and in 2000 she settled in Garden Plain. She retired from the U.S Postal Service after 20 years where she had been a letter carrier. Karen had one of the longest walking routes in the city.at one point in her career.

She loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids and great grandkids. Karen is survived by her son Douglas Downey and daughter Deborah Fantastic; siblings Lynn Boley, Sue Peace, Janet Carroll, Robert Conner, Cathy Eaves, Jeannie Rothe, and Lisa Polley; and six
grandchildren Andrea Downey, Anthony Downey, Cody Downey, Gage Gardner, Olivia Fontes, and Isabelle Fontes as well as 4 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 940 N Yale Ave Wichita, Ks 67208.
