Karla Bates

Karla Rayne Bates, 55, passed away on August 5, 2026 at her home in Pratt, Ks. She was born on December 22, 1970 in Pratt, Ks to Gary and Lanora (Foutch) Moon.

She spent her life residing in Pratt with her husband, Craig. She enjoyed being outside, going fishing and camping.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lanora Moon, and daughter, Charee Wheatley, and four grandchildren; Reece, Timothy, River, and Harely Wheatly.

She is survived by her husband, Craig, sons; Kyle Simons, Robert Eggleston, Anthony Bates, daughters; Kristina Renolds, Lyndsey Eggleston, and Kaylei Hitt, brothers; Josh Wheeler, Sean Wheeler, Matt Brigerman, Jeramy Moon, and Zach Moon, one sister, Elizabeth Brigerman Moore ,and 26 grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held on September 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Luka Hall in Luka, Kansas.
