Kenneth Leon Barr, 80, longtime Wichita resident, died Friday, April 11, 2025 at Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on July 22,1944 in Anderson, Indiana. The family moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma where they lived until moving to Wichita in 1953. Kenneth attended Wichita East High School.

He went to work for Hill Brothers Shoe Store in Wichita and later for Otasco in Wichita to which he would become a store manager and was transferred to Ville Platte, Louisiana for eight years.

Kenneth later returned to Wichita and became a Realtor for RE/MAX in Wichita for several years. For the last ten years he has lived in China.

Through the years Kenneth enjoyed collecting baseball cards and coins. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and Oklahoma Sooners. Kenneth enjoyed playing shuffle board, gambling and fishing.

Survivors include his children Diann Elizabeth Barr of Tulsa, Sean Robert Barr and Michael Shane Barr both of Tulsa; Christina Ann Limbaugh of Wichita; his wife Lv Fumin of China; brother Robert Barr of Mulvane, KS.; sister Roberta Humbolt of Rose Hills, KS.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father Robert Lee Barr; mother Dorothy Louise Brown Watts; brother Jim Barr; and sister Betty Hettinger.

A family celebration of life will be planned.
