Kyce Allen Barnes, aka Kowley Kayo, 39, of Arkansas City Kansas died Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on December 20, 1984 in Arkansas City, Kansas. Kyce was raised in Ark City Ks

While Kyce has written and produced music, with an undeniable passion for twenty years- he always said "FOE" (Family over everything)

Kyce lived with his wife, Mandi Lynn Burns-Barnes in Ford, Kansas, however the majority of his life was spent in Arkansas City and Wichita.

Survivors include his children Keyara Barnes of Wichita Ks, Eycianna Frazier of Wichita Ks; Makyla Burns-Gatson (Caleb) and Shilo Burns of Ford; his uncle Chris Allen of Arkansas City Ks; aunt Connie Shaw of Kansas City Ks; his brothers Tyson Barnes of Wichita Ks; Freddie Barnes III (Janelle) of Wichita Ks; Anthony Miller (Nikki) of Muskogee Ok; Micheal Carson (Whitney) of Arkansas City Ks; Jeremy Carson of Arkansas City Ks; Terry Smith Jr. of Wichita Ks; Jason Smith of  Wichita Ks ; sisters Brook Luckett ( Brian)of Tennessee; Cierra Smith of Wichita Ks; step-father Terry Smith of Wichita; and his grandchildren Jadalynn Burns, Jayceon Evans, Kamiya Evans, and Malaya Gatson. As well as his nephews Travis Scott Robert Barnes Sylis Barnes and Sloan Barnes of Wichita Ks; and nieces Kamisha Barnes Tulsa Ok; Tearyn Sanders, GayBreon Barnes and Celeste Barnes of Wichita Ks.

Kyce is preceded in death by his parents Freddie Barnes Jr. and Avis Celeste Allen Smith; grandparents W.L. "Buddy" and Frankie May Allen, and Freddie and Blanch Barnes; aunt Leslin Allen Thompson; and cousin Tempestt Gunter.

Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Arkansas City Kansas on September 7, 2024 at 10 am.
