Obituary

Larry Eugene Kennedy, 75, of Haysville, Kansas, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Diversicare of Haysville. He was born on October 27, 1950, in Cedar Vale, Kansas, to Royal Preston Kennedy and Naomi Bever Kennedy.

Larry was raised in Wichita, Kansas, where he attended and graduated from Southeast High School. Following school, he built a long career in the aircraft industry, contributing many years of dedicated work to a field that is an important part of the Wichita community.

Outside of work, Larry was widely known for his passion for cars. A true car enthusiast, he especially enjoyed working on race cars and spending time around the racing community. Whether under the hood or talking shop with fellow enthusiasts, Larry found great joy in anything related to engines and performance.

Larry is survived by his three daughters, Rebecca Kennedy, Shonna Nowak, and Keli Kennedy (Kevin Hallowell); his former wife and longtime companion, Pat Kennedy; his mother, Naomi Kennedy; his brother, Loyd Kennedy of Cedar Vale; his sisters, Connie McHenry of Wichita and Cheryl Feldman of Cedar, Michigan; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Royal Preston Kennedy.

A celebration of life will be announced by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.

Graveside and inurnment will take place at the Cedar Creek Cemetery near Cedar Vale, Kansas, with plans also to be announced.
