Lester "Andy" McRoberts

Lester Andrew “Andy” McRoberts passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026 in Wichita, KS with his wife, son and family at his side.

Andy was born on March 30, 1964 in Dodge City, KS to Rollie George McRoberts and Claudia Kyleen (Davis) McRoberts.

Andy moved from Dodge City, KS to Dallas in 2002 to begin his new life in Texas, He met his wife Amy in 2004 shortly after that. He worked at AreroTech at Addison Airport on helicopters and planes for several years. He landed his dream job of 14+ years with The City of Allen at The Courses at Watters Creek in Plano, TX. As the irrigation technician, he had the highest regard for his fellow employees and enjoyed working each day with them.

Andy’s passions in life were NASCAR (his religion, as he often joked) and the Dallas Cowboys. He was an exceptional handy man, known to many to fix anything.

Andy loved his family. His heart was large enough to share with all. Past, present, extended. His stories of growing up and adventures along the way were known to be very long, detailed and extremely funny. He never met a stranger. His charismatic personality and sense of humor charmed all who knew him.

Family and friends, the golf courses, racing tracks and football fields will miss a great soul, employee and fan. The world has lost a great man.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Randy McRoberts.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Carroll, son, Aaron Krestian (Jessica), sister, Pam Luce, brother, Deano McRoberts (Mandy), nephew, Christian Luce (Sarah), niece, Jamie Luce, nephew, Robbie McRoberts and nephew, Randle McRoberts (Nancy).

He is survived by great nephews and nieces Connor, Caelyx, Taylor, Malorie, Rayce, Revyn, Deekan, Denise, RanDee, Rhianna and his granddaughter Blakely, whom he very much doted on, being a Grandpa.

Great gratitude and appreciation to the doctors and staff at St. Frances Hospital and Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, KS for their loving and supportive care.
