Linda Ray Bennett, 77, of Salina, Kansas, died Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center of Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on July 19, 1948 in Ottawa, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Mildred Foust Watson. Linda was raised in  Iowa where she graduated from high school.

She moved to Wichita where she met Rodger Wayne Bennett. They were married in 1969 in Salina where she received a nursing degree from Kansas Wesleyan University.

Linda and Rodger continued to live in Salina where she had worked as a nurse at St. John Hospital and later at Salina Regional Medical Center until retiring. Rodger died on April 25, 2011.

Linda was a member of Salina Heights Christian Church and enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include her son Robert Bennett of Sylia, Kansas; grandchildren David Bennett, Emily Hopkins, Samantha Clark; and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside and inurnment services will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Salina, Kansas at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 6th.
