In Loving Memory of Linda Lou Caiharr

October 8, 1949 – July 25, 2025

With hearts full of love and remembrance, we share that Linda Lou Caiharr, 75, peacefully entered her eternal home on July 25, 2025, surrounded by her family.  She was born on October 8, 1949, in Hill City, Kansas and had resided in Augusta, Kansas with her family since 2017.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Eleanor White.

Linda lived a life full of compassion, gentleness, and warmth.  A loving mother, "Meme", sister and friend, she found joy in life's simple, meaningful moments- watching birds at the feeders, butterflies dancing in the garden, walking among blooming flowers, and caring for the animals she adored. Her garden wasn't just a place of beauty- it was a reflection of her nurturing soul. Linda's home was a place of peace and her presence was a gift.

Linda had a generous heart and gave freely of her time, love, and support.  She had a heartwarming smile, a gentle nature and the kind of eyes that wrapped you in comfort- tender, knowing, and full of love.  She also had a feisty spirit and didn't hesitate to speak her mind.  Anyone who tried to help her in the yard quickly learned she was the "yard-boss".  She wasn't just working- she was running the show. If you pitched in, you'd likely find yourself lovingly supervised every step of the way.

Her wonderful sense of humor was another of her strong traits.  Whether through a quick-witted remark or a shared laugh, she brought joy into our days and reminded us not to take life too seriously.

Her greatest love of all was her family.  She had a fierce devotion and unwavering support that made her a treasure to her daughter and grandchildren- Bridgette, Mason, and Addy.  Her bond with her daughter was especially deep- a lifelong connection built on trust, friendship, and shared love… an undeniable bond.  She wasn't just a mother- she was a confidant, a safe place and a steady presence.

She wholeheartedly loved her grandchildren-like crazy.  They lit up her life and she never missed a chance to brag on them, spoil them or make them laugh.  They always knew how deeply their Meme cherished them.

Though her physical presence is gone, her spirit lives on in our hearts and every life she touched.  We rejoice in knowing she now has peace, embraced by God's love and reunited with those who went before her.

Cherishing her memories are: daughter Bridgette Kara Pocock; her grandchildren Mason and Addy Pocock; sisters Lana Ayers, Patti White; along with her nieces, nephews and dear friends.  We will carry her love forward with every bloom, every smile and every act of kindness.

A family gathering will be held in her hometown in Northwest Kansas to honor her life and give thanks for the time we were blessed to have her.
