Linda Cook, 79, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at her home in Haysville, Kansas surrounded in love by her family.

She was born on March 1, 1945 in Winfield, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond O. and Evelyn Parsons Combs. After graduating from high school Linda went to Cosmetology School.

She married Alvin Dean Cook on December 6, 1975 in Winfield. They had lived in the Wichita area for the past 55 years and were members of Hilltop Urban Church.

Through the years Linda was a school bus driver in the Wichita School District and a day care provider.

Survivors include her husband Dean of the home in Haysville; daughters Sheri Baker, Monica Simpson, and Timothy Williams (Cynthia Cook); eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 P.M., Saturday, September 28th at the Hilltop Urban Church, 910 South Bluffview, Wichita, KS, with Paster Nate Hansen officiating.

The family entrusted the services to the care of Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks.
