It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Martin James "Marty" Killgore, who died on March 27, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 60. Born in the same city on December 1, 1964, Marty's life was marked by his spirited character and numerous talents.

A proud graduate of Wichita West High School in 1983, Marty's passion for music emerged early as a talented drummer, a skill that brought joy to him and those lucky enough to hear him play. Marty's professional life was as dynamic as his music; he spent some time as an owner/operator truck driver before dedicating many years to his career as a Union Ironworker, a role that showcased his strength and work ethic.

Marty's true joy came from the simple pleasures of life. He cherished moments spent in lively conversation with friends and loved nothing more than gathering with them to share stories, laughter, strong opinions and a beer.

Marty was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie "Kay" Killgore (Bolen), his father, James Killgore, and his brother, Jeffrey Killgore. He leaves behind a family who will miss him: his son, Sutton Killgore (married to Katie) with grandchildren, Camdon, Paxton, and Briston Killgore; son Jordan Killgore; brother, David Killgore (married to Susie); and several nieces and nephews—Jade Killgore, Baylee Starling (married to Devan), Kaylee Waters (married to Hunter), Kyle Killgore (married to Sara), and Keylan Killgore (married to Colleen).

While no formal service will be held, a celebration of Marty's life will be scheduled soon.
