Mary
Cloud
Jan 21, 1938 — Aug 30, 2025
Mary Ann "Dolly" Cloud, 87, of Wichita, Kansas passed away August 30, 2025.
Mary was born on her family farm in Andale, Ks on January 21, 1938 to Herman and Clara Biermann. She was the third born of nine children. She graduated from Andale Rural High School in the Class of 1956.
She married Lewis Scheier in 1956 and together they had five children, all born between 1957-1962. In 1967, she remarried to her greatest love, Charles Russell Cloud, who was by her side for 45 years of marriage until his passing in 2012. She had lovingly welcomed his four children as her own upon their union.
Mary was a lifelong crafter, mastering the art of ceramics and mosaic concrete art, among many other projects. She enjoyed gardening and growing enough tomatoes each summer to quench her hunger for a tasty BLT.
She was a lifelong traveler, who was constantly on the go. She enjoyed many fishing trips with her close friends and family, as well as traveling to Mexico, Canada, Ireland and everywhere in between.
She was our very own little riveter at Beechcraft and worked and volunteered for years for Via Christi Hospital. Everyone that encountered Mary throughout her lifetime will testify how much she made them feel truly loved.
She supported all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great granddaughter with all her heart throughout their birthdays, activities of music programs, athletics and theatre over the years. She was an extremely present wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver.
She is survived by her sisters, Betty Burbrink (Rollo), Becky Vogt (Rich), and Lindy Becker (Joe) and her children Deborah Schlicht (Tony), Terry Cloud (Michelle), Pamela Gregory, Randall Scheier, Virgil "Larry" Scheier, and Donald Scheier. As well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Charlie, sisters Lori Bohrer, Carol Ediger and Judy Rinehart, brothers Sonny and Ralph Biermann, as well as her daughter Tanice Overstreet and grandson, Deven Conrad.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25 at 10:30AM at Christ Church, located 14242 E 21st Street, Wichita, Kansas 67230.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name at Botanica, The Wichita Gardens.
