Mary Karen Gregg, 71, of Wichita, Kansas, died Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center of Ascension Via Christy Medical Center in Wichita.

She was born on June 19, 1954 in LaCrosse, Kansas, the daughter of Ivan and Imogene Carpenter Worthen. Mary graduated from high school in Otis, Kansas and later attended Barton County Community College.

She married Thomas Gregg. They lived in Susank, Kansas before moving to the Dallas, Texas area. Thomas died on September 24, 2003.

Mary later moved to Great Bend, Kansas where she was Manager of the McDonald's Restaurant. She moved to Wichita 16 years ago.

She enjoyed being with her dogs, spending time outdoors and camping at the lake.

Survivors include her son Thomas Gregg and fiancé Lindsay Turner of Ellinwood, Ks.; daughters Dawn Wolenhaupt and husband John of Hutchinson and Tina Cagle of Dallas; brothers Greg Worthen of Concordia, Ks., and Lane Worthen and wife Susie of Plano, Tx.; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild; along with her companion of the past 20 years Donald Byerly of Wichita.

Along with her husband Thomas, Mary is preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be planned.
