Obituary

With deep love and cherished memories, we honor the life of Mary Ann Jenkins, a beloved mother, sister, friend, and woman of unwavering faith.

Mary was born on March 13, 1949, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to the union of William and Lula Jenkins. She received her education in District 189 and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1968.

From a young age, Mary's life was guided by her faith. She confessed her hope in Christ early in life, attending Straightway Baptist Church with her family. As she grew in her spiritual journey, she later united with LaSalle Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Savage. Her commitment to serving the Lord and her community remained steadfast throughout her life.

Mary's presence was a blessing to all who knew her. She had a warm and generous spirit—always ready with a kind word, a loving gesture, or a helping hand. She found joy in life's simple pleasures: laughing, reading, cooking, taking long walks, working word searches, and sitting in the sun. Her adventurous soul also loved road trips and traveling with family and close friends.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her beloved son, Kelly Jenkins; her devoted sisters Christine (Albert) Lee, Samella Montgomery, and Jewel Irons Jenkins; her loving brothers Henry (Ruth) Jenkins and Everett (Demetria) Jenkins; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and her faithful church family.

Mary will be especially missed by her dear friends Jackie Tate, Betty, Terri, and Lisa Larkin—each of whom held a special place in her heart.

She is now reunited in eternal peace with her parents, William and Lula Jenkins; her brother, Edward Jenkins; and her beloved sisters Ursherlene Jenkins, Thelma Jenkins, and Lenora Lee.

Though Mary has departed from this world, the light she shared remains forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to love her.
