Max Goldwater

Max Berlin Goldwater, 84, died Saturday, October 10, 2026 at his home in Haysville, Kansas.

He was born on May 12, 1942 in Oxford, Kansas, the son of Clarence V. and Beulah Josie Woolridge Goldwater. Max was raised in the Oxford area.

He married Janet Kay Sanders on September 26, 1968 in Coldwater, Kansas. They soon moved to Haysville where they remained. Janet died on February 10, 2013.

Max enjoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing. Through the years he had been a machinist, working for H-S Products and Westland, Inc.

Survivors include his son Douglas B. Goldwater of Haysville; sister Vonda Eppling of Henderson, Nevada; sister-in-law’s Wanda Goldwater of Wichita, Carol Goldwater of Arkansas City; and two grandsons Clayton and Dalton Goldwater.

Max is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers Robert, Rolland, David, Harry “Vern” Goldwater; and sisters Clarulah “Claie” Utt and Judy Talley.

Private inurnment will take place in the Coldwater, Kansas Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.
