Michael (Mike) Alexander St Clair, Sr, 72, died peacefully at home In Wichita, KS surrounded by family and pets on Monday, October 6, 2025. after a long struggle with cancer and Alzheimer's.

Mike was born October 14, 1952 in Aschaffenburg, Germany. He did not know his natural father and had a step-father, Robert H. St Clair. He and his mother came to the United States with Robert when Mike was 5 years old and Mike became an American citizen at that time. Mike used his step-father's surname growing up, and had it legally changed as an adult.

Mike retired from the military after serving more than twenty years, including two tours in Viet Nam. He was extremely proud of serving, and when people would thank him for his service, he would reply "It was my honor and privilege' and he meant it.

Mike married his wife Patricia on November 2, 1973 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. They had a son, Michael, Jr and a daughter Amanda. Mike was a dedicated and active father. Mike's military career afforded his family the opportunity to travel and live in Germany and various states in the US. After retiring, he and Patricia spent time RV'ing throughout central and western United States, Canada, and Mexico before settling inLas Vegas, Nevada, where they stayed for 12 years before moving back to Wichita, Kansas in November 2024.

He was a very active with the American Legion, holding many positions and became a PUFL, or lifetime member. Mike enjoyed reading, model trains, motorcycles, and traveling. His favorite pastime however, was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Patricia of the home; son Michael A St Clair, Jr of Chickasha, OK; Amanda Merritt of the home; grandchildren Jenah Tbaba of Wichita and Noah Manyiri of Ft Worth, Texas, and great granddaughter Nova'Lei Davis of the home.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Ellen, his step-father Robert St Clair.

Private services are being planned.

Memorials are requested to the American Legion or The Alzheimer's Association.
