Michael "Mike" Green, 58, of Newton, Kansas passed away peacefully on 5/8/2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, faith, and quiet generosity. Born in Pampa TX to Colene and Dennis Green, Mike made Newton KS his home, where he built a life with his wife Tisha Green, filled with deep connections, strong values, and a spirit uniquely his own.

Mike was a man of deep faith, fiercely independent and grounded by his love for God. He had a sharp wit, a touch of sarcasm, and a way of making people laugh - but more than that, he listened. If you had something to say, he gave you his full attention and respect. That kind of presence was just one of the many things that made him unforgettable.

In his younger years, Mike enjoyed drawing and painting, often capturing the world as he saw it - honest, imperfect, and beautiful. He never lost his curiosity or his hunger for learning, especially when it came to understanding God more deeply.
Mike was always known for his helping hand and his love for his children, in whatever they were able to rope him into, he gave his all and learned more about organizations his kids were apart of and always being a helping hand wherever that may have landed him. Some of his favorite memories were made in Waynoka OK with his brother and family, on the many weekend long trips that spanned across the years.

Summers often found Mike at the lake with his family. The sun reflecting off the water as kids laughed and played nearby. He was in his element there - fishing, joking, or simply relaxing in a folding chair, watching the moments unfold. Those days were slow and warm, filled with everything he valued most: family, peace, and the joy of just being together.

One of his proudest roles was being a father. He spent countless hours outside teaching his son, Keith, how to fix cars, not just the mechanics, but the patience and precision it required. With grease-stained hands and quiet instruction, he passed down not just a skill, but a sense of confidence and responsibility that would last a lifetime.

Mike worked at Walmart for 25 years where he met the love of his life, Tisha. Together they built a life anchored in faith and devotion. Later, he retired from the BNSF Railroad, a job that suited his steady nature and strong work ethic. But it was not his career that truly defined him - it was his character. His legacy is etched in the way he treated people: with kindness, honesty, and a strength that made others feel safe and seen.

He will be remembered not only for who he was, but for how he made others feel. Loved. Heard. Valued. And never alone.

Mike is survived by his wife Tisha Green of Newton Kansas, Daughters Savana Jenkins and husband Daniel Jenkins of Navarre FL and their children Bryson, Seth, and Lily, Zowie Butler and partner Jesse Rose and their adopted children of Newton KS, Karly Green of Waynoka OK and sons, Christopher Green, Keith Green and Memphis Green all of Newton KS, siblings Brandon Green of Waynoka OK and Jo Anne Green of Wichita KS, nieces Serenity "Roo" Green, Mersaydes "Sadie" Green, Caitlin Meliza and Husband Ross and their children Haven and Jaxson all of Waynoka OK, Brother in Law Bryan Stewart and wife Ashley of Halstead KS and their children Delia, Olive and Roslyn, Sister in Law ReAnna Wells and Husband Alex of Newton KS and their children Lelynd and Jackson But most importantly his grand-cat Tabitha.

Mike is preceded in death by parents Colene and Dennis Green of Waynoka OK, Uncle Leo Coulter and wife Rita Coulter of Woodward OK, Grandparents Muriel and Nelta Coulter of Waynoka OK
