Myranda Renee Medlin, age 37, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at her home in Wichita, Kansas.

Myranda was born on June 4, 1988 in Wichita, Kansas to Rochelle Medlin and Michael Downing.

Myranda grew up in the Wichita area where she later graduated from Wichita West High School in 2006. She went on to become a mom to her two amazing kids whom she loved immensely.

A mom. A daughter. A sister. A friend. She will be missed.

Myranda is survived by her children Reese Jewell and Charlotte Jewell of Wichita; her mother Rochelle Medlin; brother Jarod Medlin and sister Corina Rico of Arkansas City; her sister Alecia Downing of Wichita; her brother Tanner Litz and sister Marissa Smith.

Myranda is preceded in death by Michael Downing; her brother Andrew Ornelas.

No services are planned.
