Pamela Jean Pearson, 73, of Murdock, Kansas, died Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center of Ascension Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

She was born on May 23, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of William and Loretta Harp Knox. Pamela was raised in Wichita and graduated from Wichita Southeast High School.

Through the years she had been a Matron at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility, drove a semi-truck over the road and was Parking Supervisor at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport.

She married John Edward Pearson, III on June 2, 2014 in Kingman, Kansas. They lived in Murdock and were member of the Kingman Methodist Church.

Pamela was full of life and never met a stranger. She enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include her husband Ed Pearson of the home in Murdock; son Chris Rye of Osage, Oklahoma; step-children John E. Pearson, IV of Murdock and Teal L. Pearson of Park City, Ks.; brother David Knox of Hawaii; and sister Janine Knox of Denver.

Memorial services will be announced by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks.
