Patricia Ann LaShay, 76, died Sunday, September 15, 2024 at her home in Wichita.

She was born on June 19, 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Elward Robert and Inez Dedrick. After graduating high school Patricia attended Southern University in Baton Rouge.

She married Dennis Bradley LaShay in 1967 and moved shortly after to Wichita from New Orleans. Dennis died on July 22, 2023.

Patricia had worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita for 39 years and was a longtime member of the Machinist Union. Through the years she was a member of a bowling league and enjoyed watching soap operas and crocheting.

Survivors include her son Greg LaShay and daughter in law Yvonne LaShay of Wichita; daughter Chanda LaShay and son in law Donta Richardson of Mesa, Arizona; sister Bobbie Dedrick, brother Charles and  John Dedrick; grandchildren Renee Alexander, Jessica Daubeniek, Jonathan Pino, Alexandra Renee, Alexandra Terra LaShay, Donovan LaShay Jones, and Camden Maximus Jones; two great grandchildren Lafayette Alexandra LaShay and Nyx Ann Moore; along with her step-father Vernon Noble.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.

The family will be holding a private ceremony.
