Patrick Allen Fitzgerald, 66, died Sunday, November 17, 2024 at his home in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on September 11, 1958 in Leoti, Kansas, the son of Frankie Earl and Donna Lucille Fischer Fitzgerald. Patrick was raised in the Leoti area where he graduated from high school.

As a child, he began working around his parent's gas station there in Leoti and continued to be a mechanic all his life. For the past 14 years he had worked at Kissler Tire and Auto in Udall, Kansas.

He married Margie Gillespie in 1982. They had two daughters and were later divorced. Patrick married Charlotte Ann Short on April 9, 2011 in Wichita and she preceded him in death along with his parents.

He was an outdoors man and collected die cast cars.

Survivors include his daughters Kimbery Hass and husband Jeremy of Kansas City, Mo., Patricia Fitzgerald of Leavenworth, Ks.; longtime friend Carolyn Hernandez of Wichita; brothers Michal Fitzgerald and wife Melody of Denver, Colo., Paul Fitzgerald of Moline, Ill., Rick Fitzgerald and wife Linda of Davenport, Iowa; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
