Obituary

Phyllis Ione Pierce Thompson, was born to Walter and Winnie (Johnson) Lindon in Clay Center, KS September 10, 1935, and passed away at Homestead Assisted Living in Abilene, KS on July 29, 2026 at the age of 90. She graduated from Clay Center Community High School with the class of 1953. She attended Brown Mackie College in Salina, KS for Nursing. Phyllis was married to Clarence Thompson. To this union four children were born; Kim, Cindy, Julie and Shelly. They later divorced. Phyllis and Greg Pierce were married in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clarence Staley and Martin Lindon and her youngest daughter Shelly DeCou.

She leaves behind husband Greg Pierce of the home in Abilene, son Kim Thompson of Wichita, daughters Cindy Thompson Kelly of New Braunfels, TX and Julie Wilson of Abilene, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be Friday August 7 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in the Ladysmith Community, Clay County KS.

Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks.
