Rebecca (Becky) Lou Jones age 80 died April 12,2026 at her residence with her daughter and her cat (Baby Kitty) by her side.

She was born October 30, 1945 in Great Bend, KS to Osmond Herbert and Lula Herbert. She was raised in Great Bend, KS she moved to Wichita, KS around 1968.

She loved to plant huge garden. She loved her pets she had throughout the years. She was a stay-at-home mom and wife until her youngest daughter started school. She was a room mother for all of her children at some point and helped take them on field trips. All 3 of her kids played sports she loved going to their games many times it was a struggle if they had games on the same night.

Her 1st grandson played baseball, soccer, and football she loved going to his games and tournaments. Some people would think that she was his momma she would just laugh and say no I am Grandma, she is his momma. She was called grandma by all his teammates which she loved that. She would like to rent Cadillacs to go out of state tournaments.

Her first job was at Wescon, later she went to Cessna then to Boeing Modification. She was a sheetmetal mechanic and went into inspection where she became a lead inspector. She loved her job. The last few years her memory was not very good but she could sure could tell you about a 747.

Survivors include her daughter Geraldine Richmeier-Moats (Rick Moats); son Jimmy Jones (Cassandra); daughter Jeri Lin Chappel (Jerry); and her grandchildren Michael Lopez, Jordon Jones (Rae), Justin Jones, Ryan Jones, Penelope, Kaitlyn Mongeau (Tanner), Ashley Chappel, Paige Chappel, Devin Chappel

Preceded in death her parents Osmond Herbert, mother Lula Priester, brothers Winston Herbert and Osmond Herbert; as well as many of pets that she loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held later.
