Richard Allen Gronczewski, 53, died Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the Robert J. Dole V.A. Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on October 5, 1971 in Livonia, Michigan. Richard received a Bachelor's Degree in software engineering in 2017 using his GI bill to further his education. He was ordained and co-founded CAALM Ministries in 2014.

He served in the U.S. Army reserves in his twenties and a previous enlistment before serving his last term from 2007 until 2009, with two tours in Iraq before being given an honorable discharge.

Rick and Samantha formed a union on October 31, 2010 after meeting Feb. 17th of 2009. They lived primarily in Savannah, Georgia, when not traveling or in Ft. Garland, Colorado, until moving to Winfield, Kansas in May 2025.

Rick was a mechanic for over 30 years and ended his work career as Head Maintenance for Love's travel stop in Georgia for medical treatment. For several years Rick and Samantha traveled as ordained ministers while filming documentary segments for In New Light Video Magazine and attending spiritual events with CAALM Ministries remaining as part of his continued outreach..

Survivors include his wife Samantha Palmer-Phenix of the home in Winfield, Kansas; his mother Vivian Shepard Anderson of North Phoenix, Arizona; and sister Dawn Carroll of Inkster, Michigan; as well as his stepmother, Sandy Gronczewski, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and several step siblings in Michigan, Arizona, and other states.

Richard is preceded in death by his father Richard Michael Gronczewski.
