Richard H. Petrie, 74, passed away on February 9, 2026 in Wichita, Ks. He was born on May 20, 1951 in Jackson, Alabama.

In 1974 he earned his associates degree from Chattanooga State Technical Community College. He also earned his solo certification to be a private pilot. Richard was very generous, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and participating in the Toys for Tots bike run every year.  He retired from Cessna as an inspector, he remained close with his friends from Cessna and riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his very close friends; Jerry and Karen McDonald, and Sean and Sanya Wiles.

Memorial services to be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church 842 N Tyler Rd, Wichita, Ks 67212.
