Robert John Karst, 81, died Thursday, September 18, 2025 at his home in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on May 31, 1944 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

While serving in the U.S. Air Force Bob was stationed at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita where he met Sandra McCollar. They were married on August 9, 1969.

Bob and Sandy continued to live in Wichita. She died on April 12, 2018. He enjoyed working in his yard and watching the Kansas City Royals.

Bob had been a data processor for Kansas State Bank & Trust and later for the Farm Credit Bank until retiring.

Survivors include his two sons Jeff Karst and wife Chrissy, Jonnie Karst and wife Carri; and grandchildren Jake Karst, Alex Karst, Rylee Karst, Preslee Karst and Britlee Karst all of Wichita.

Bob had 15 brothers and sisters.

He is also preceded in death by his father Sylvester and mother Lorraine.

Private family services will be held with inurnment next to Sandy at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Wichita.

Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.
