It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robin Lee "Roho" Branson, 68, on June 14, 2025. He passed peacefully at Via Christi St. Joseph hospital in Wichita KS, surrounded by those whom he loved most. Robin was born November 4, 1957, in Hominy Oklahoma. As the first child of Harul and Georgia Roe, he was a treasured big brother to his siblings. As those who knew him would tell you, the man was fundamentally unconventional and was afraid of nothing. His senior year he was the National Cowboy Rodeo Association (NCRA) Junior Bull Riding Champion and was runner up the following year. Robin graduated High School, with honors, in Hominy, the class of 1975. He then decided that instead of college degrees, he would enlist in the United States Army. Upon graduation from boot camp, directly after receiving his military orders, Robin broke his back and was given an honorable medical discharge. A chance meeting changed the course of his life after that fateful accident. It was 1975 in El Dorado Kansas, that the Roe family, plus one, went on a trip to go see family and pick up Robin for a visit. That plus one was Vickie Dee Bolz, and that meeting led to a whirlwind love affair, and two precious girls. Robin has always said that his "Sunshine Girl" and his two baby girls were the loves of his life. Over the years, Robin had many hobbies, including all things rodeo, leather tooling and dyeing, machine driven embroidery, reading, music, fishing, and above all others, riding his 2012 Harley Davidson Night Train motorcycle. "Ride like the wind" was not only his motto, but also his passion. Robin was preceded in death by his brother Russell, Mother Georgia, Father Harul, and sister Evelyn. He is survived by his ex-wife Vickie Bolz-Schlyer and John of Russell, KS and children, Deena and husband David Mortimer of San Antonio, TX, and Kristina Bolz also of Russell, KS, his brother Richard Roe of Derby KS, his sister Helen Roe Drake of Wichita KS, and his half sister Barbara Robinson and Jerry of Lithia FL, along with many nieces and nephews. Per his wishes, we will gather on the banks of his favorite river outside Hominy Oklahoma,to celebrate his life, at a later date of the family's choosing.
