In Loving Memory of Ronald L. Clark: July 29, 1946 - May 17, 2026

Ron, Dad, Papa, friend was born on July 29, 1946, in Beloit, Kansas to Don and Maxine Clark. His early years of schooling were in Kansas, but he later moved to California and graduated from Redondo Union High School. It was there that he met the love of his life Vicki Kay Wooley.

Ron and Vicki married on August 28, 1966. They built a loving family of 3 children – Rhonda (Don) Gribble, David and Steven. These children gave Ron grandchildren: Hayley (Brett) LeMaster, Joshua (Elise) Gribble, Victoria Gribble, Tiffany Gribble, Nick Clark, Victoria (Cade) Harelson, Tristen (Christen) Clark and David Clark. And, these grandchildren gave Ron great-grandchildren: Amelia, Delilah, Miles and Lucy.

Ron was a devoted father, grandfather and friend. His wife of 49 years predeceased him on January 6, 2015.

The aircraft industry was Ron's field of work, and he worked in it for nearly 50 years. The majority of his career he worked as a tooling engineer at Beechcraft (now Raytheon). He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication and loyalty. For many years, he drove 3 hours/day from his home in Salina to work in Wichita; in other words, those workdays lasted a minimum of 11 hours.

Many activities were enjoyed by Ron – playing the harmonica (self-taught), collecting coins, sports cards and pens, playing ping/pong (competitively) and playing golf. But, the activity he liked most was spending time with his wife and family.

Sitting completely still was something Ron did not do. He would constantly tap his fingers or move his legs up and down – sometimes everything moving all at once.

Ron was a man of deep faith. He knew who was in charge and had a respectable fear of his Lord. He often mentioned how he would pray every night for God to watch over his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and to let Vicki know he loved and missed her.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty and his brother John. He is survived by his sisters Mary Wilcox and Becky (Mike) Chambers as well as his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ron will be laid to rest beside the love of his life, Vicki, who he is now with in heaven.

Memorial service to be held  at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Riverwalk Church of Christ 225 N Waco, Wichita, Ks.
