Obituary

Ronald Eugene Hart, 77, of Wichita, passed away on May 29, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on December 24, 1948, Ronald lived a life marked by quiet strength, generosity, and deep devotion to the people he loved. He was known for his steady presence, his warm heart, and the way he made others feel welcomed and valued.

Ronald retired from Case in 1998, closing a long chapter of hard work and dedication. His greatest pride, however, was always his family.

He is survived by his three daughters — Sonja, DeAnn, and Kim — who will forever carry his memory with them. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Jenifer, Kris, Ashlie, Jessika, Addie, and Levi, and one great grand baby, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Ronald was preceded in death by his loving wife, Holly, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. When Holly passed away on July 3rd, 2023, Ronald lost a piece of his heart. Their bond was deep, enduring, and unmistakable to all who knew them.

Ronald was a wonderful woodworker; a talent he poured his heart into. His daughters will forever cherish the things he crafted for them — toy boxes, tiny chairs for their Cabbage Patch dolls, plant stands, and baby cradles. But the piece he was most proud of was the cedar chest he made for their momma, a symbol of his love and craftsmanship that will be treasured for generations.

A Celebration of Life for both Holly and Ronnie will be held on June 27th at OJ Watson Park, where family and friends will gather to honor their lives and the love they shared with those around them.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Kansas Fish and Wildlife, a cause close to the family's heart.

"Let's go to the lake, Dad!" A simple phrase that carries a lifetime of memories — and the promise that his spirit will always be with them, wherever the water is calm and the sun is warm.
