Ronda Irvin Braden, 68, of Arkansas City, Kansas, left us peacefully on March 20th in Wichita, Kansas. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will always be remembered for the love and devotion she showed to her family and friends.
Born on February 10, 1957, in Enid, Oklahoma to Robert and Nelda (Morgaridge) Irvin. The first of five children. She was reared and educated in Oklahoma.
She married the love of her life, Roger Braden, on July 14, 1972 in Vinita, Oklahoma. They built a beautiful life together that lasted nearly 53 years. They lived in Oklahoma and Texas before settling in Arkansas City, Ks in 1975. Their union produced two beautiful daughters as well as seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She chose to be a homemaker. She lovingly took care of her home, husband and children. In the early 1980's she discovered that she loved decorating cakes, for a short time she done it professionally. However, what she enjoyed the most was making them for her family and friends. She would make the most beautiful doll cakes for her daughter and little sisters. She would make all kinds of character cakes and even a few wedding cakes.
She is survived by her husband, of the home. Her daughters: Tania (John) Grice, of Winfield, Ks and Tanna (Beau) Reed, of Arkansas City, Ks. Her siblings: Terry Irvin, of Tulsa, Ok, Tanya Irvin, of Arkansas City, Ks and Wendy (Andy) Becker of Udall, Ks. Grandchildren: Caleb (Zoie) Simmons, of Arkansas City,Ks, Carrie and Emily Grice, of Winfield, Ks, Henessy Cantu, of Wellington, Ks, Braden, Belle and Bea, of Arkansas City, Ks and One great granddaughter, Astrid Simmons, of Arkansas City. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Elza and Ruth Irvin and Benjamin and Ethel Morgardge. Her parents Robert and Nelda Irvin and one brother William Irvin.
Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date and announced by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.
