Obituary

Rose M. Betts, 84, passed away on January 2, 2025 in Newton, Ks. She was born on June 23, 1940 in Moline, Illinois to Ralph and Audrey (Hadley) Seely.

Rose graduated from Caldwell High School in 1958 and was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church in Caldwell, Ks. She loved being outdoors, she enjoyed all the flowers, particularly roses. She enjoyed traveling, her favorite place to travel to was Florida. She loved music and enjoyed attending concerts every chance she could. She was also an avid Kansas City sports fan, especially the rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. She enjoyed going to different types of restaurants. Rose was always up to date with politics, and showed her appreciation to political correspondents. She loved animals and was mom to her doxin, Gidget for 17 years. Rose was a giver, she always showed her appreciation to people with gifts, she never forgot a holiday or someone's birthday, she was very active in charity work, and would often donate to various foundations.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Floyd Seely, and sister, Lois Seely Larson.

She is survived by her children; Gina Savory of Sioux Falls, Sd, and Craig Hacker of Wichita, Ks.,  grandchildren; Hannah Heatherman-Edmond, James (Lori) Hines, and Kory Hines, two great grandchildren; Emersson Hines, and Ava Hines, nieces and nephews; Teresa (Loren) Matson, Michael Larson, Larry Dean Larson, Barb (Dave) Disbro, Deb Pearl, and Steven Larson, cousin, Merle (Nancy) Simpson, and her special friends; Tori and Adam Price, and Rhonda and Mike Magness.

Memorial services are pending at this time.

Roses final resting place will be in her favorite place, Florida.

Arrangements are by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks.
