Ruth Ann Jessup

Ruth Ann Jessup (Johnson), 71, passed away on September 19, 2026 in Wichita, Ks. She was born on February 27, 1955 in Sallisaw, Ok to Bert and Bessie (McCoy) Johnson.

She was strong in her Christian faith, she often attending First Presbyterian Church and bible studies with her family. She loved anything purple, the smell of lavender and lilacs. She loved to play bingo and the lottery. Every Sunday she could be found working on the puzzles in the Sunday paper, and watching Little House on the Prairie, and Bonanza.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill Johnson, and grandson, Javi Gardea.

She is survived by her children; Miranda Gardea (Ely), Jack Jessup (Cassie), and James Whitmore, sisters; Gail Simmons and Wanda Long, 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held on October 1,2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Gracepoint Community Church 9035 West Central Avenue Wichita, Ks.
