It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Alexander Shofler on June 13, 2025 at the age of 48.
He was a loving brother to Sheryl Smith, Debra Grant, Dawn Starnes, Jennifer Shofler, Fredrick Shofler Jr. and
Kerri Flower. Preceded in death by his Mother, Ruby Sowersby and Father, Fredrick Shofler. A loving nephew to Eleven Uncles and 5 Aunts. He had 21 cousins and 8 nieces and 3 nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Because of his circumstances, Scott was a little behind the times for technology. When asked to come up with a password for his email account, he replied "I love to read all genres of books".   This led him to search for a better, easier password that all could use. A few months later he was so excited that he came up with an idea but couldn't tell anyone as he didn't want anyone stealing his idea. He then applied for patent on his invention of a password for electronics.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laugh, positive outlook and continuous desire to learn.

He also had a love of books and languages and enjoyed reading and writing short stories. He was accepted into Palomar College to start his journey towards his life long dream of getting a PhD in English literature. Scott loved talking to family and sharing travel experiences. After reading a fact of history he could remember and call it to memory quickly if mentioned in conversation. Scott loved spending time with family and was genuinely interested in hearing about everyone's travels.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m at Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks. A memorial service will be held at Fairview Cemetery 38900 W. 39th St. Cheney, KS 67025 at a later date.
