Shannon Curran, 32, of Wichita, Kansas passed away November 29, 2025.

She was born in Walnut Creek, CA on January 25, 1993, to Linda and Stephen Curran.   She is survived by her parents, brother Connor Curran, sister Megan Curran, nephew Jace Curran, Grandfather Stanley Curran and a long list of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Shannon attended elementary school in San Ramon, CA and graduated from high school in Sandpoint, Idaho.  In 2015 she completed a B.S. in Genetics at the University of California,  Davis.  From there she completed a Masters in Anatomy from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Denver in 2017 where she completed the rare feat of dissecting the entire human nervous system. She was known for her preternatural abilities in the anatomy community throughout her career.

At the time of her death, she had reached the ABD (All but Dissertation) for a PhD in Clinical Anatomy from University of Mississippi in 2022 and was working to complete her PhD in Medical and Health Professions Education- Higher Education Concentration with the Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk.

Her greatest career joy was teaching medical students about the wonders of the human body at the Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Wichita, KS while providing them with an inclusive and supportive environment. She worked tirelessly for her students, achieving advocate of the year in 2023.

Shannon fought a long battle of treatment resistant depression supported by a strong medical team, dear friends & work colleagues, and her family.

Per Shannon's wishes there will not be a funeral.
