Sharon Kathleen (Burks) McKee died peacefully surrounded by family on October 23, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas.

Sharon was born November 14, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Carl Clinton and Doris Jean (Geer) Burks. She graduated in 1966 from Central High School and 1970 from Texas Christian University. Sharon worked in healthcare for over 40 years, primarily as a nurse with St. John's Hospital and Home Health. In retirement, she volunteered at church, enjoyed puzzles, and loved her granddaughter and her dog, Missie, and her grand-dogs.

Sharon married Charles McKee in 1980 and had two children, Travis and Katie. They lived mostly in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, but moved to Wichita, Kansas in 2022 to be near their kids. Sharon always enjoyed helping with marching band, soccer, church, and enjoyed being a warm and welcoming presence. In 2017, she celebrated the birth of her only grand daughter, Lucy.

Sharon is at peace now, and was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Charlie, sister Phyllis (Fred) Turner, son Travis (Kassie) Smith McKee, daughter Katie, and granddaughter Lucy. Services will be held in Tulsa on Nov 9th at 11am at Forest Park Christian Church and in Wichita on Nov 10th at 3pm at Disciples Center At Camp Tawakoni
