Sharon LeAnne Yerby

Sharon LeAnne Yerby, 68, passed away on July 21, 2026 in Wichita, Ks. She was born on March 28, 1958 in Denver, Co to RD and Doris (Mueller) Treat.

She graduated from Arkansas City High School and then obtained her associate degree from Cowley County Community College. She married Ralph Nelson and had two children, Jason and Dallas. She later married Mike Yerby.

She was a member of Antioch Church of Wichita. She enjoyed going for walks with her dog, Dax, coloring, and spending time at the lake with friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Ralph Nelson, 2nd husband, and Mike Yerby.

She is survived by her daughter, Dallas Costello (Paul), son, Jason Nelson (Deanna), brother, Ira Emmons (Cindy), sisters; Nancy Daniels, Gwen Daniel, and Jenny Jones, six grandchildren; Jacob (Sydney), Kylie (Cody), Rustin (Anna), Jaden (Kaitlyn), Rhiana (Eric), and Caleb, great grandchildren; Kanyon, Kaydon, Kelson, Kaiya, Reed, Cora, Benny, Sophia, and Aspen, numerous nieces and nephews, special friend, Charles Clay, and her beloved dog, Dax.

Memorial service to be held on August 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Church of Wichita. 

Mother, you have been a light in our life...always reminding me that the bond we have found is everlasting.
