Sheldon Dean Turner, 57, died Monday, April 27, 2026 at his home in Augusta, Kansas.

He was born on March 13, 1969 in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Leon C. and Marilyn Kay Dikeman Turner. Sheldon was raised in Augusta where he graduated from Augusta High School in 1987. He went on to attend Butler Community College and then received a bachelor's degree in political science from Wichita State University.

Sheldon went to work for Exploration Place in Wichita for several years where he was a graphic designer and Producer in the Digital Design Studio. Through the years Sheldon had also been the projection operator at area movie theaters.

He enjoyed doing sculptures, including one of the "Sue" dinosaur. Sheldon loved doing anything that involved computers and video games. He also enjoyed watching movies, drawing, also love studying the Bible

He is survived by his father, Leon and sister Monica Kay Turner, both of the home.

Sheldon is preceded in death by his mother and brother Shannon Leon Turner.
