Stanley Eugene "Stan" Dyer, age 83, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025. He was born on August 2, 1941 in Springfield, MO.

Stan was a proud husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and Navy veteran. He called Wichita, Kansas home for most of his life and spent his career at Boeing, where he worked in the photo lab handling technical photography, film development, and archiving aircraft components.

Stan was the devoted husband of the late Ellen Marie Dyer, who preceded him in death on December 24, 2024. Together, they lived a life full of adventure by RVing to Colorado, Texas, and Arizona, and riding their Goldwing motorcycle across all 48 lower states, as well as into Mexico and Canada. Stan and Ellen shared a deep love for the open road, the friendships they made along the way, and the joy of discovering new places together. After fully retiring, they settled in Whitney, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Dyer and Pearl (Grider) Dyer and siblings Carol Belles and Robert Dyer.

He is survived by his siblings: Patsy Marion, Max Dyer, Harley Dyer, Sherel Slocum (Scott), Linda Dyer, and JoEtta Range (Michael). He is also survived by his son, Brian Dyer, and stepchildren: Denise Blake (Rob), Derek Nicholson (Lenea), Daren Nicholson (Michelle), and Dana Compagnone (Craig). He was a proud grandfather to 12: Zoe, Rosalie, Joseph, Joshua, Justin, Emily, Tristan, Devon, Morgan, Avery, Izzy, and Sophia, and great-grandfather to 7.

A 1959 graduate of Derby High School, Stan served honorably aboard the USS Enterprise with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. This chapter of life shaped his quiet strength, deep sense of duty, and lasting patriotism.

Stan requested no funeral or memorial service. In honoring his wishes, his family will carry forward his legacy by sharing stories, riding a little farther, and living with the same sense of adventure he sought in life.
