Stephanie Marie Reed, 66, lifelong Wichita resident, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on January 12, 1959 in Wichita, the daughter of Charlie and Louise Griffin Clemons. Stephanie graduated from Wichita Southeast High School and later from Wichita State University with a Masters Degree.

She married Henry Roy Reed on August 3, 1981 in Wichita. They had two sons, Noah and Jonah. Henry died on August 9, 1998.

Through the years Stephanie had been a member of New Testament Baptist Church and the Church of God In Christ. She was an avid reader, always researching, looking to learn new ideas and concepts, as well as gaining more knowledge. Stephanie was very proud of her heritage.

She leaves behind her son Noah Demetrius Reed of Larned, Ks.; brothers Melchester Clemons, Mario Clemons, Cha rles Clemons; sisters Marcelle Clemons and Vickie Embray all of Wichita; along with nine grandchildren Egypt, Essence, Jade, Jayla, Tayron, Carlisha Johnson Reed, and D'adrian Reeed.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son Jonah Reed.

Memorial services are being planned for 12:00 Noon, Friday, June 6 at the Fairmount Venue, 1655 N. Fairmount, Wichita, Ks. 67208.
